Fees & Rebates

Appointments and Fees

At Dandelion Lane Psychology we currently offer psychological services under:

  • Medicare (Mental Health Care Plans and Eating Disorder Treatment Plan)
  • Private Health Insurance
  • Chronic Disease Management Plans
  • Private Fees

Standard sessions are 50 minutes duration and are provided in person or via telehealth.

Please note:  We do not provide services under Workcover, NDIS, DVA or TAC.

Fees

Our fees are below the Australian Psychological Society’s National Schedule of Recommended Fees for private practice psychological services ($330).  As of the 1st of July 2026 our fees are as follows:

  • $290 for a 50 minute session
  • $390 for a 90 minute EMDR session

Please contact us to book an appointment, or to discuss your needs further.

Cancellations and Non-Attendance

To avoid cancellation fees, we ask that if you need to change or cancel your appointment you advise the practice by phone on 0413 174 782 no later than 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time.  This is in order to support the consistency and availability of therapy for you and other clients.

If you either cancel or change your appointment within 24 hours or do not attend, you will be charged the full fee for your session. Please note that Medicare and private health insurers do not provide rebates for cancelled or unattended appointments.

Rebates

Clients with an eligible Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) or Eating Disorder Treatment Plan (EDTP) are entitled to a rebate from Medicare for each session attended.

If you are eligible, a Medicare rebate of $149.05 for a session with a Clinical Psychologist will apply for up to 10 sessions per calendar year with a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) and for up to 40 sessions per calendar year with an Eating Disorder Treatment Plan (EDTP).  This means This would mean your out of pocket cost per session would be $290 – $149.05 = $140.95.

Clients without a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) or an Eating Disorder Treatment Plan (EDTP) or who are ineligible for Medicare rebates may be eligible to claim rebates through their private health fund.  It is recommended that you check your cover for psychological services with your health fund prior to your first appointment.

Dandelion Lane Psychology is located on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation. We recognise their continuing connection to land, waters and culture and we pay our respects to their Elders, past, present and emerging. Sovereignty has never been ceded. It always was and always will be, Aboriginal land.
